Google API Disclosure
Attorneum's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
General points
We value the trust that you place in us by sharing your personal data with us. In that aspect, the most fundamental privacy principle we follow is that by default, any information that you provide with us is private.
Attorneum (also possible use – «we») takes your privacy seriously and is committed to handling your personal data in a way that is fair and worthy of that trust. We will take all reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse and keep it secure. We believe it is important to inform you about how we will use your personal data, what rights you have relating to your personal data. Therefore, we encourage you to read this privacy policy carefully.
The Attorneum service (also possible use – «Service») is made available to you by the Result IP Group, established as limited liability company, registered in Ukraine, registered address is in 103 Charivna str., ap. 94, Zaporizhia, Ukraine, 69071.
The Attorneum service allows you to contact specifically targeted prospects by providing email addresses, details of published intellectual property objects such as trademarks, patents etc. and openly published paperwork related to them such as Office Actions, Provisional Refusals, application forms etc. with alongside companies’ and persons’ data received from open sources and public databases.
Attorneum Services are designed to help Users (e.g. sales platforms, intellectual property professionals, B2B partners) to find business profiles they seek in order to interact with relevant Contacts (as defined below) as well as to assess potential Contact value by getting analytical information related to their intellectual property objects such as patents and trademarks based on open sources. This may include finding business profiles of the companies and persons that may be interested in the services of User at the moment of search.
Attorneum operates as a search platform, and therefore most of the information it retrieves is not created or interfered directly by Attorneum, but retrieved from the web, public databases or from the contribution of relevant data from other users.
If you choose to use Attorneum’s service, we will process your personal data as described hereunder this Privacy Policy. In this case, we will act as a controller (for Users) and processor (for Contacts) under appropriate data protection law, which, from 25 May 2018, includes EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
This Privacy Policy determines what data we collect and how we process it. It applies to all services offered by Attorneum.
We encourage you to read the Privacy Policy carefully and use it to make informed decisions. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and your continued use of the Services constitutes your ongoing agreement to this Privacy Policy.
Definitions
Contact – individual, information (including Personal Data) about whom is collected and obtained in Database.
Controller - means the person that determines the purposes and means of the processing of Personal Data.
Data Subject – means the individual to whom Personal Data relates (also User and Contact).
Database – means all or the part of the information (including Personal Data) that could be provided to the Users via Website.
GDPR - means Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation).
Personal Data - any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Personal Data Breach - any breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.
Processing - any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
Processor - means person (physical or legal entity) that processes Personal Data on behalf of the Controller.
Service - means the common name for the services that Result IP Group, LLC provides for the Users, for instance the access to the Database.
Subprocessor - any natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the Processor (including any affiliate of the Processor).
Transfer – means to disclose or otherwise make Personal Data available to a third party (including to any affiliate or Subprocessor), either by physical movement of the Personal Data to the third party or by enabling access to the Personal Data by other means.
User of the Service (User) – any person (physical or legal entity) that is registered at the Website and has access (limited or unlimited) to the Database.

Personal data we collect
We ask you for certain information that may include your personal data to provide you with Service. The list of the personal data we collect depends on your personal status.

We collect Personal Data from you when you submit web forms or interact with our Website.
In particular, we collect your email address, first and last name, location and other similar business information. In some cases for more secured verification, we may ask you to provide us with your phone number.
We collect payment and billing information (address, company name) when you register for paid products or services. Please, pay attention that we use third-party payment service providers for organization payments, based on their own policies. When you make your payment via our Website, you may agree or reject providing such information.
You may also give us permission to access your information in other services. For example, you may link your Google account to Database, which allows us to obtain information from those accounts. The information we get from those services often depends on your settings or their privacy policies, so please check what those are.
Automatically Collected Information. When you use the Service, we may automatically record certain information from your device by using various types of technology, including cookies and local storage. This “automatically collected" information may include IP address or other device address or ID, web browser and/or device type, the web pages or sites visited just before or just after using the Website.
Non-personal information. We may collect non-personal information about you. You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in providing an effective service. We may disclose aggregate statistics about our Users to prospective partners, advertisers and other reputable third parties, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Also we may use non-personal information for research purposes.

Attorneum allows Users to gather and collect Contact’s information. This information may include Personal information such as: first and last name, job title, email address, address or other information that may be used for person’s identification.
Attorneum gathers information only in a legal way and from public sources. Our algorithms process this information contained in the database in order to identify the most up-to-date information related to each profile. For example, we use open web services, official databases and APIs to complete and update the information we have about Contacts, in order to allow our Users to find relevant Business Profiles.
We may use and share Contact’s personal data with our Users when they use our website for the purpose of finding relevant data related to specific individuals. If you prefer that we will not disclose your data with our Users, vendors or business partners, you may opt-out by filling in your relevant details via contact form on our website.
Attorneum does not control the scope and content of the information that Users gather, store and use via Service and Website. We store and process User’s databases that may include Contact’s Personal information on service provider’s servers as processors according to the User’s instructions and Data processing agreement.
Users are responsible for compliance with data protection requirements concerning Contact’s Personal information, including informing, correcting, deleting or updating the information they process via Services.
Why and how do we use your personal data?
The legal basis for processing USER’S Personal data is art. 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We will use personal data only after we have received your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, see the section Your Rights below.
Our use of your personal data is limited to what is reasonably required in order to enable your use of the Database, to provide our Service to you and also to make improvements to our Service which benefit both us and you. We do not use your personal data for any reasons not stated in this Privacy Policy and never use it in an excessive manner that is disproportionate to our aims of providing and improving our service or in a way that is contrary to your interests.
We use the information that we collect for the following purposes:

When you use our Website, we will process your personal data to provide the requested Service.
If you decide to become a User and get access to Database, we need to process your data to identify you as a user of the Service and grant you access to its various functionalities. We only process the personal data that are strictly necessary to manage or resolve your request based on the Service functionalities.
To improve our Service.
We may use personal data about how you use our Service to enhance your user experience and to help us diagnose technical and service problems and administer our Service.
To communicate with you.
If you contact us with a problem or question, we will use your information to respond to that request and address your problems or concerns. We may send you service and administrative emails. We may also contact you to inform you about changes in our services, or our service offerings. These messages are considered as part of the service and you may not opt-out of them. In addition, we sometimes send emails to our users about new product features or other news about Attorneum. You can opt-out of these at any time.
To protect our or others' rights, property or safety.
We may also use your personal data about how you use Services to prevent or detect fraud, abuse, illegal use, violations of our Terms of Use, and to comply with court orders, governmental requests or applicable law.
For general research and analysis purposes.
We use data about how Users use our website and Service to understand User preferences. In addition, we can use your anonymized data for scientific purposes concerning Service.
The legal basis for processing CONTACT’S Personal data is art. 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Attorneum has legitimate interests for processing Contact’s Personal Data for commercial reasons.
Attorneum processes Contact’s Personal Data as a processor according to User’s instructions. Users may use Contact’s Personal Data for marketing activities.
Attorneum declares that processing has a minimal privacy impact.
Your rights as of a Data Subject
We undertake to keep your personal data confidential and to ensure that you may exercise your rights. In that aspect, you may exercise your rights free of charge by writing us an e-mail or using the contact form on this website, simply informing us of the reason for your request and the right that you wish to exercise.
You have the following rights:
- To request access to your personal data that we hold. We remind you that you can realize this right through the relevant section of the Dashboard or using the contact form on this website.
- To request that we rectify the personal data that we hold. Please bear in mind that you may also change or update your personal data in the relevant section of Service. In any case, please take into account that you guarantee that your data is true and accurate and you undertake to notify us of any change or modification of your data. Please remember that, as a general rule, you must provide us only with your own data, not with those of third parties.
- To request the portability of your personal data. This means that you will have the right to receive the personal data that you made available to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-legible format, to be able to transmit them to another entity directly without impediments on our part.
- To request that we cancel or limit the processing of your personal data, which entails that in certain cases you can request us to temporarily suspend the processing of the data or that we keep them longer than necessary.
- To erase (also known as the right to be forgotten). We erase your personal data to the extent that it’s no longer necessary for the purpose for which we need to keep processing it or when we are no longer legally permitted to process it or if you withdraw consent. If you are a Contact, you can exercise this right by contacting us by email or contact form on Website. Please, pay attention that we may delete your Personal Data from the Database but it still may be stored by User’s in external files that we do not control. In any case, we will inform Users about your realization of the right «to be forgotten». If you are a User, you can exercise this right by contacting us or by clicking on the «Delete account» through the relevant section of Service, if applicable. All data that could not be deleted will be anonymized.
- Rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling. We do not, however, use your personal data in the way, based on automated decision-making which produces legal effects on the User.
In addition, User has the right to withdraw the consent for processing personal data at any time. To do so please contact us by email: mail@attorneum.com.
Finally, we inform you that you have the right to file a claim before the responsible data protection regulatory authority.

Data security
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We maintain Service with appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse, and any other unlawful form of processing of the Personal Data in our possession. We use technology to encrypt data during transmission through the public internet.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. How long do we keep your personal data?
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active (not deleted) or as needed to provide you services or until your consent is not withdrawn. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
If you wish to delete your account, you can do so by sending us a corresponding request to mail@attorneum.com. Please, take into account that your data will be finally removed nine days later. During this time, you can restore your account.
Please note, that after a 3 year period of non-use of the Service, your data should be deleted, even if you don’t take any action to do so by yourself. Instead of deletion, we may also choose to irreversibly anonymize data. We may inform you before taking such actions.
How do we store or/and transfer your Data?
Data subject’s database will be hosted in Deltahost cloud computing platform, storage located in the Netherlands. This means that your Personal data will be fully protected under the GDPR.
We may pass your personal data on to third-party service providers contracted to Attorneum in the course of dealing with you. Any third parties that we may share your data with are obliged to keep your details securely, and to use them only for the legitimate reasons they were obtained for originally. When they no longer need your data, they will dispose of the details in line with Attorneum procedures as set out in the contracts signed with them.
Data transfers out of the EEA
The personal data we collect (or process) in the context of our Services will be stored in the European Economic Area (EEA). Some of the data recipients with whom Attorneum shares your personal data may be located in countries other than the country in which your personal data originally was collected and outside the EEA. The laws in those countries may not provide the same level of data protection compared to the country in which you initially provided your data. Nevertheless, when we transfer your personal data to recipients in other countries, including outside the EEA, we will protect that personal data as described in this privacy policy and in compliance with applicable law.
We use a variety of measures to ensure that your personal data transferred to these countries receives adequate protection in accordance with data protection rules.
By using our Service or services, you authorize us to transfer and store your information outside your home country, for the purposes described in this policy. The privacy protections and the rights of authorities to access your personal information in such countries may not be equivalent to those of your home country.
How do we share Data? (To whom we disclose information)
Except as described in this Policy, we will not intentionally disclose the Personal Data that we process to third parties without your consent as the Service User. We may disclose information to third parties if you consent to us doing so, as well as in the following circumstances:

You may request to change, update or complete any missing data we process about you, by sending us a request via contact form on this website. Please note that we may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.
Sharing your personal data with other Users.
Contact's personal data, added while using Attorneum, is stored in Database, so it may be available for Users.
We don’t share User’s personal data with other Users.
Service Providers.
We work with third party service providers who provide Service application development, hosting, maintenance, and other services for us. These third parties may have access to, or process Personal Data as part of providing those services for us. We limit the information provided to these service providers to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and our contracts with them require them to maintain the confidentiality of such information. Our contracts with these service providers do not permit use of your information for their own (marketing) purposes. Consistent with applicable legal requirements, we take reasonable steps to require third parties to adequately safeguard your personal data and only process it in accordance with our instructions.
Law Enforcement, Legal Process and Compliance.
We may disclose Personal Data or other information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, in response to a facially valid court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies.
We also reserve the right to disclose Personal Data or other information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to (i) take precautions against liability, (ii) protect ourselves or others from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses or activity, (iii) investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, (iv) protect the security or integrity of the Service and any facilities or equipment used to make the Service available, or (v) protect our property or other legal rights, enforce our contracts, or protect the rights, property, or safety of others.
Change of Ownership.
We may buy or sell/divest/transfer the company (including any shares in the company), or any combination of its products, services, assets and/or businesses. Your information such as customer names and email addresses, and other User information related to Attorneum may be among the items sold or otherwise transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell, assign or otherwise transfer such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolution, reorganizations, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of the company. You may be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
Non Personally Identifiable Information.
We may make certain automatically-collected, aggregated, or otherwise non-personally-identifiable information available to third parties for various purposes, including (i) compliance with various reporting obligations; (ii) for business or marketing purposes; or (iii) analytic and scientific purposes. Provided such information does not identify a particular individual.
Children’s privacy
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18 without obtaining parental consent. If you are under 18 years of age, then please do not use or access the Service at any time or in any manner. If we learn that Personal Data has been collected from persons under 18 years of age and without verifiable parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under 18 years of age has obtained an Account, then you may alert us and request that we delete that child’s Personal Data from our systems.
Personal Data breach
With regard to Personal Data Breach caused by Attorneum, we shall:
- In accordance with GDPR Article 33 and 34 notify you without undue delay in the event of Personal Data Breach involving Personal Data.
- Use reasonable efforts to identify the cause of such Personal Data Breach and take those steps as we deem reasonably practicable in order to remediate the cause of such Personal Data Breach.
- Provide reasonable assistance and cooperation as requested in the furtherance of any correction or remediation of any Personal Data Breach.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes, or if we change our business in a way that affects personal data protection. All changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted here.
